Island Ventures - Diving the Granite Paradise!

Island Ventures has been involved in water sports in the Indian Ocean since 1988, when the first water sports center was opened at the Sun International Le Galawa Beach Hotel on Grande Comore, Comore Islands. Since September 1997, Island Ventures have also been operating two dive resorts in the Seychelles, based at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Beach Resort and the Berjaya Mahé Beach Resort, both on Mahé Island.  All three Island Ventures dive resorts are PADI Gold Palm 5 Star Dive Resorts.

With expertise and hard work, Island Ventures has grown to become the foremost water sports company in the Indian Ocean, with a reputation for safety, friendliness and quality of service. Every effort has been made to ensure that all Dive Resorts meet the highest standards.

As part of our commitment to environmental awareness, Island Ventures Comores, has implemented a mooring buoy programme, with most dive sites now boasting permanent moorings.  In the Seychelles, Island Ventures is working closely with other dive centers and the Seychelles Government to secure moorings for local dive sites.  On a more personal level, Island Ventures discourage divers from touching or taking anything from the coral reefs.

"Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but bubbles"

In an effort to benefit local communities, Island Ventures employ a minimal number of expatriate staff, preferring to employ local staff whenever possible.  In fact, Island Ventures was the first dive center in the Seychelles to employ an amputee, who subsequently become the first disabled diver trained in the Seychelles.
